LUXAFLEX® Evo Awnings by Coffs Harbour Blinds and Awnings are an Australian designed innovation made specifically for Australian conditions. They represent the latest in design, styling and functionality and allow you to enjoy your view whilst providing glare and UV protection. With a full suite of awning styles including: Cable Guide, Side Tension Channel (STC), Wide Channel, Straight Drop and Pivot Arm Awnings, the LUXAFLEX® Evo Awning Range by Coffs Harbour Blinds and Awnings offers an aesthetically appealing look across all products and a solution to meet every need.

There are 5 basic styles in the Luxaflex® Evo Awning range, all with matching componentry for a uniform look across all styles:

Evo Straight Drop Awning:

The Evo Straight Drop Awning is a traditional awning style that uses no guides making it ideal for sun/UV protection, air flow and where channels are not suitable. It  is the perfect choice when there are no posts or walls to mount to and the awning cannot use side channels or guides. The awning is strapped to the ground or railing to secure it from swinging in the wind.

Evo Cable Guide Awning:

The Evo Cable Guide Awning is a fantastic contemporary option for sun and UV protection and air flow. The cables are high tensile 2.5mm 316 grade marine stainless steel, making them perfect for coastal applications.

Evo Wide Channel Awning:

The Evo Wide Channel Awning is a great option for sun/UV protection, windy applications, plus privacy and block out situations. The fabric sits deep into the side channel (up to 30mm) therefore eliminating light gaps and reducing the potential for fabric “blow outs” in windy conditions. It comes with a locking pin option which allows the awning to be secured at various heights, for maximum control.

Evo Side Tension Channel (STC) Awning:

The Evo STC Awnings provide privacy, UV protection and insect resistance. The STC is a tension system holding the fabric secure in the side channels and is ideal in windy conditions as the fabric can’t blow out of the channel. As the fabric is held taut between the left and right channels, this system is ideal for enclosing courtyards, patios or balconies, essentially adding an extra room to the home.

Evo Pivot Arm Awning:

The Evo Pivot Arm Awning projects the fabric off the window, with the arms and fabric forming an arc that allows air to flow behind the awning. This allows windows to be open whilst the awning is projected. This system is a heavy duty contemporary design ideal for larger windows.

Options, Features & Benefits:

The LUXAFLEX® Evo Awning by Coffs Harbour Blinds & Awnings comes with many options & additions making it an ideal solution for any application.

Headbox & Open Roller Options:

The LUXAFLEX® Evo Awning Range offers 2 designer headbox options for increased functionality and a modern contemporary look. The “closed” head box encapsulates the fabric (top, bottom, front, back & sides) from external elements such as rain, UV and dust fragments, which assists in keeping the fabric clean and enhances longevity. The “open” head box offers increased air circulation around the roller (enclosed front, back, sides & top leaving the bottom open) thereby minimising heat build up and reduced sticking on clear PVC skins. The open head box is ideal for the Pivot Arm Awning but can also be used in front rolled Cable Guide and Straight Drop Awnings. There is also an open roller option (no head box) which provides a modern industrial look. By eliminating the aluminium head box, the price is signicantly reduced making it the ideal choice for the cost conscious consumer.

Bottom Rail Options:

The LUXAFLEX® Evo Awning Range by Coffs Harbour Blinds & Awnings offers a selection of bottom rail options to enhance your awning & increase functionality. The Evo Awning bottom rail has been designed to allow additional weight bars to be installed which can offer extra weight in the bottom rail for reduced bottom rail bounce & increase the fabric tension. There is a locking bolt option which secures the awning into the side channel base cable bracket or breeching staple with an 8mm bolt. As the bolt is inserted inside the base rail, the system maintains its clean aesthetic, also allowing the bottom rail to be positioned closer to the ground. Hold down straps can be used to hold the awning down at various points across the width of the awning. This option also offers a traditional no guide system where the awning is simply locked into place via straps. The pile brush & valance option allows for the concealment of small gaps from uneven floor surface. This will reduce the ability of light gaps, insects debris, wind and rain to enter your home, veranda or courtyard therefore maximising the functionality of the awning.

Operating Options:

The LUXAFLEX® Evo Awning Range by Coffs Harbour Blinds & Awnings has been designed to offer maximum flexibility in operating options to ensure there is a style that suits all situations. The manual crank control utilises a 9:1 ratio gear to ensure easy operation which is not dependant on the users strength. Specically designed for straight drop applications the gear features an internal dampener which protects the gearing components in high wind situations. Motorisation is also a fantastic option which does not rely on the users strength for operation & allows a touch of luxury in your awnings operation. There are a wide range of motor solutions available allowing awnings to be operated from a remote control or a wall switch control. The internal cord winch is an option which allows for the awning to be controlled from inside your home. It incorporates a winder box which is installed near the awning on the inside of the home which is connected to the awning via tape which runs through your wall to the awning outside. Spring operation allows the awning to be manually pulled down to the required height and locked off using either the sliding bolt system or hold down clip option.

Installation Options:

The LUXAFLEX® Evo Awning Range offers a range of installation options to ensure there is an option available to suit your application. By utilising a standard universal bracket your awning can be installed either in the reveal of your window, on the face of your building or even into the ceiling or top fixed on your veranda. By using this same universal bracket in bother head box & open roller applications, installation is kept both simple & consistent.

Colour Co-Ordination:

The LUXAFLEX® Evo Awning has a standard hardware colour of Silver Pearl. This reflects the latest in contemporary external colour trends, and will suit almost any application. However, powder coating is available and allows for customised colour co-ordination to either your awning fabric or your exterior colour scheme.
